The Multi-Traker

Created in 1986, The Multi-Traker was a zine about Southcentral Kentucky music. It was run by the Multi-Trak Club, a group of musicians and music enthusiasts who frequented and wrote about the late 1980s music scene.

From 1986 to 1989, their articles covered music and show reviews, interviews with musicians, creative poems and lyrics, hand-drawn comics, and commentary on the wider American music scene. These issues were edited and archived by Tim Blain, who donated scanned copies to the Kentucky Museum for our Sonic Landscape exhibition.

This virtual exhibit showcases the archived issues, as a glimpse into the Southcentral Kentucky music scence of 1986 to 1989. To view an issue, click on the cover of the issue. A flip-book will appear that allows you to view that issue of the zine.
