Early each May, the KY Museum always reluctantly says goodbye to several of our outstanding WKU undergraduate student workers and graduate assistants. Graduation is bittersweet as we wish our students well in their new adventures, knowing we will miss their wonderful personalities and dedication to the Museum.

The second half of May is usually spent preparing for our summer and fall offerings.  Summer at the Museum is an exciting time! This summer the Kentucky Museum is hosting four weeks of camp, Summer Camp 2017 Art Exhibit, free Wednesdays in July, group tours and more.

In addition to programming, summer is also a time when we work on various projects, including major exhibits and this year in no exception. Our exhibits team is working hard on creating A Culture Carried: Bosnians in Bowling Green, an exhibit which is part of WKU’s upcoming International Year of Bosnia. The exhibit will open September, 29th.  Several themes will be explored within the exhibit such as the Bosnian community in Bowling Green, expressions of faith, and various aspects of art and culture.  A dedicated web page featuring the exhibit and all accompanying programming will be available soon.

As always, consider adding yourself to the Museum’s email list at wku.edu/Kentuckymusuem to stay up-to-date on what is happening at the KY Museum.
