Registration is now open for the Kentucky Museum Fall Break Day Camp! Every year, we offer a fun, educational, and creative way for your child to spend the week.
We are especially excited for the camp theme this year: Weaving Discovery! Campers will have the opportunity to explore the art of weaving through a variety of activities and our newest exhibit, Standing the Test of Time: Kentucky’s White Oak Basket Tradition. Activities will include learning to prepare natural materials for weaving, designing and constructing a basket and a wall hanging, trying out a traditional Cherokee weaving pattern, and weaving a horse ornament. These crafts will help campers learn about patterns, creative uses of natural resources, and Kentucky’s heritage. And the best part? They get to take it all home!
Fall Break Camp will run Monday-Friday, October 3-7, from 8:30 am to Noon.We provide campers with a snack everyday around 10:15 am.
Fall Break Camp is open to ages 6-13. There is a registration fee of $110 for Kentucky Museum Members and $125 for Non-Members.
