Museum Day will be celebrated in participating museums nationwide on Saturday, September 22nd. At the Kentucky Museum, we will be offering free admission to all guests. We will be open during regular Saturday hours, 9AM – 4PM. This will be a great day for a family outing to the museum!
This is a wonderful opportunity to view our newest exhibits, The Essential Tree and Salient Features: Trees of Old Forests and Woodland Pastures.
Salient Features highlights the work of artist Charles Brindley, who is known for creating highly detailed drawings of trees.
The Essential Tree explores the multifaceted role of trees in American life and culture throughout America’s history.
Our other exhibits will be open to the public, as well. These include A Culture Carried: Bosnians in Bowling Green, Kaleidoscope: Kentucky Museum Quilts, our Felts Log House, our civil war exhibit, the Snell-Franklin Decorative Arts Gallery, and Recommended by Duncan Hines.
