What do scientists do?
They EXPLORE the cave by mapping passageways, taking samples from
the environment, and determining the cave’s connections to its neighbors.
They STUDY the cave by taking samples back to labs and performing
tests. These tests, when combined with observations, help in understanding
the cave’s environment and inhabitants.
They SHARE their findings in published reports, presentations, letters,
and videos. Collaborating with artists, they help us understand what they
have seen and why it is important.
